Fleet Week

We are loving living near the coast and the culture that exists here because of it. A few weeks ago it was Fleet Week in Portland and big Navy battleships were docked in the river here in Portland. For a few days everywhere we looked downtown there were men and women in white navy uniforms.

We walked up on the Burnside Bridge to get a better look of the boats which also afforded us a great photo opportunity with the iconic Portland sign.

Then we went to the carnival down by the waterfront and spent way too much money (so expensive!) so the kids could have some rides. But they loved it.

Definitely a fun evening!
