This year Audrey decided to be a character from some of our favorite books- Madeline! We found a navy dress and I sewed a collar and bow on it, then we painted a straw hat yellow and ties on a ribbon. So easy and everyone loved it!
Davy wanted to be a pirate. He's not normally into pirates but was pretty determined to be a pirate this year. Vest, hat, eye patch and done. Easiest Halloween costumes ever.
My kids are darling. Period.
We went trick or treating with some friends and their family and Audrey and David had a blast.
Earlier that week we carved pumpkins.
We also had conference earlier in the month which is our very favorite. We bought a puzzle, made popcorn and caramel apples and just hung out at the house most of the weekend.
When it started raining in September the locals here we're telling us the rain had started early and that it wouldn't stop until May. I got really nervous about the winter here. But the rain stopped in October and we've had a few lovely weeks full of sun and crisp brisk air. So far it's been a beautiful peaceful fall.
