And the awesome surprise roast-and-toast party I threw for him last year? Remember all the work and planning?

Well, this year I dropped the ball.

I actually hadn't even realized till he casually mentioned one day that he'd missed having a birthday post on the blog. Then I snapped out of my new-baby-sleep-deprived-too-busy-doing-everything-else fog long enough to realize that the annual birthday post was just one thing in a long list of things that he hadn't gotten this year. He deserves better. I will try to be better.
