In 2016 when Justin graduated he finished his thesis in time for official graduation ceremony but not for the History Department's hooding ceremony. So lucky us, it gave us an excuse to run up to Portland this year and attend the hooding ceremony in 2017.
Two of Justin's friends from his cohort graduated in 2017 so it was fun to be able to attend the ceremony with them.

One evening our good friends Matt and Monica Cindrich hosted a barbecue in their lovely home and invited some of our other friends so we could visit.

And we stayed with some other friends in Vancouver and Judy took her first bath in a big bathtub and looked so tiny!
