(She looked so pretty standing in front of Grandma and Grandpa's snowball bush)
Audrey had a very successful first year at Wendell Elementary. I worry about my kids so much every time that we move but every time they show me their courage and resilience. Audrey excelled in school, made new friends, attended activity days and was also part of Honor Choir. As part of Honor Choir we attended two concerts where the kids sang and then showed the skills they'd also been learning in mallet group and drum club. It was very impressive!
At the end of the 4th grade year there was a graduation ceremony since 5th grade will attend in the Middle School. We got our beautiful girl all ready:
And then went and saw what she'd been learning. One of the best parts was when the kids played the recorders. For the first song, all the kids stood up and played. Then we noticed as the songs continued that certain kids sat down. We realized that some kids hadn't passed off all the songs in music and sat down when they got to a song they hadn't passed. We watched song after song was played and Audrey kept standing.
Finally there were only a few kids left and they moved to music stands in the front:
More and more kids sat down until it was just Audrey and two other kids at the front. I know that she had worked so hard during the year on learning her recorder and we were so proud!
Then square dancing:
Proud grandparents watching:
Finally she received her diploma from her beloved teacher Mrs H.
Grandma Vipperman:
Grandma and Grandpa Bunn:
Mom and Judy: (Dad was home sick)
We love Audrey so much and are so proud of the beautiful girl she's becoming.
