In Grandma and Grandpa's front yard:

We would always say, "when we move back to Idaho..." but after living in Portland for awhile it became "if we move back to Idaho..." When Justin began looking for jobs soon after he graduated it seemed like the job to bring us home just wasn't there. We loved Portland and so had considered making that permanent but the jobs just weren't there either. Finally after fasting and praying we moved to Idaho with no job and a lot of faith.

Justin did find a job at US Bank that seemed promising. They trained him as a universal banker with the opportunity to take over as branch manager in 1-2 years when the existing manager retired. It was what we needed at the time- right down the street so that he could walk or ride his bike to work and come home for lunch. However Justin was disappointed to not be using the degree he'd worked so hard for so he kept looking for jobs while working there.
The kids were so excited to be close to Grandma and Grandpa and to have more freedom than they'd had in Portland. For instance to be able to ride their bikes around without supervision. The first time I said, "Ride around the block." Audrey said, "by ourselves?!?" My poor city kids.

And second day of school because they looked so cute again:

Gleaning potatoes- an Idaho rite of passage:

Pajama day at school:

And this move of ours came with automatic friends- close cousins and church friends around to play.
