Making the most

We have probably a year or so left here in Oregon and we're determined to see and do everything we possibly can while we're here. 

We're grabbing all the Pendleton and Columbia and Nike gear that we find at the thrift stores for almost nothing, we're eating at fun restaurants, and most of all we're exploring all the beautiful sites that are so close to us.

Oneonta Gorge was at the top of my list when we moved here but because you have to scramble over a huge log jam and ford a river to get through the gorge itself we had to wait till later in the summer when the water was low to go. Totally worth it!

Then a few weeks ago we ran down to Multnomah Falls for family home evening. It's always fun.

And then right before school started we visited the Mt. St. Helens visitor center for our volcano loving girl. We can see Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood from our house (and sometimes when it's really clear we can also see Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams and Mt. Jefferson. Locals call it a "5 mountain day") but we thought it would be fun for Audrey to actually visit as much as we could.

I still take pictures of the trees here sometimes. They amaze me. They're so big!
