We don't know how long we'll live only an hour and a half from the coast, but as long as we do we're going to take advantage of it.
Our favorite town to visit is Newport, OR but we've been wanting to visit some of the sights and beaches in the northern part of Oregon so on Friday we took off for Manzanita.
Audrey's been asking to go camping and if you know me then you know that camping and I don't get along. But I conceded this time and we stayed in a yurt at Nahalem Bay.
The kids were so excited. In the picture below they were squealing and yelling and playing rocketship on the bunk bed.
In the end this trip only re-affirmed my previous opinion of camping but the kids had fun so it was worth it.

The next morning we drove to Cape Lookout to look for sea glass (and found some!)
Then stopped in Tillamook for lunch and toured the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
We visited Hug Point:
And then Ecola State Park where we got a great view of the abandoned Tillamook Rock lighthouse:
and beautiful Cannon Beach.
