our latest visit to the farm

Last weekend Justin had the chance to go to Utah with his brother to see a BYU game, so I called my sister, we packed up our families and headed down to Wendell. I love going to my parent's house just to catch up with my family, but I also love all the things that my kids can learn and do there.

This visit didn't disappoint.

Audrey helped Grandma make elderberry jelly

We picked lots of fresh produce from Grandpa's garden

(LOVE this picture of her)

David opened and emptied drawers in Grandma's kitchen
(and took her magnets off the fridge and threw them in the trash. We were laughing so hard.)

Audrey helped us buy canning supplies

in between her many trips outside to play

We rescued a little fuzzy orange and black caterpiller from the road and brought him back to Grandpa's garden.

(Audrey had to check on him quite a few times and when he was gone she told us he must have climbed up to the top of the apple tree to eat apples)

Audrey caught her first fish
And David helped us pick lots of tomatoes to take home.

Thanks again to my Mom and Dad for hosting, and to Beth and Justin for driving.
