We didn't worry about getting any of these for New Year's Eve...

In other news: Our tree came down today. I was sad to see it go, but it was time. The needles were dry and the ornaments and ribbon had been messed up from when Justin had to play "wasp hunter" again because we had a wasp living in the branches. A great big wasp was living RIGHT-IN-OUR-TREE. For a few days after we got it he would only fly out of the tree when Justin was at work and my frantic phone calls to the Statesman had Justin thinking I was crazy, especially when he came home and there was no wasp to be found. But, he came out one night while Justin was home and my fearless husband grabbed the nearest copy of Idaho's best newspaper, rolled it up, and did what had to be done.
Our living room feels a little empty. Without the tree, not the wasp.
